Miss Adore Delano is not done promoting her commercially successful debut album, Till Death Do Us Party, just yet. While not announced as an official single, the RuPaul's Drag Race star released a supporting video for the Gia Gunn-inspired "Jump The Gun", featuring a cameo appearance from Australian beauty, and real-life bestie, Courtney Act. It's freaking hot.
Filmed on location in Australia, "Jump The Gun" was originally filmed and scheduled for release as the album's possible sixth single before plans for "My Address Is Hollywood" were even underway. The raunchy visual was said to have a Wild Things theme and photos of Delano and Courtney Act making out in a hot tub surfaced soon after.
When I spoke with Delano back in November, the "DTF" singer said she was initially unsure about the video's status because she was not completely happy with the finished product.
“We did the video in the summer in Sydney, Australia,” Delano said. “I wasn’t really happy with it in the beginning to be honest, I like to be hands on with the editing process of my videos and we just went back and forth. I think it’s going to be one of those “Born to Make You Happy” Britney Spears videos.”
However, it appears the artist has changed her dirty mind as she treated fans to the special bonus video release. "Jump The Gun" found its way onto the web earlier this week and it has received praise from fans so far. Bow down. Adore is ready to party!
Channeling her inner Maleficent at the beginning of the new video, Delano is then seen in a choreographed routine with some hunky male dancers, pumping some iron with men in nothing but their skivvies, and getting it on with Act in a bubbling hot tub. The girls just want to kai-kai. Let them have their fun.
Two minutes in, the black-and-white visual explodes into color (the entire visual should have been in color to be honest) and Delano just continues to do as she pleases. It's her world really, we're just taking up the extra space.
The "Jump The Gun" video is nothing extremely extravagant or completely gag-worthy like her previous videos for "I Adore U" and "I Look Fuckin' Cool" have been, but it's a good way to keep her fans occupied until the release of her next one. Delano announced that a "Give Me Tonight" visual is currently in the works. Let's prepare ourselves for that spectacle. PARTY!
