Graphic Liner - Gel Vs Liquid

 This week I seem to have gone crazy for graphic liner! It started on Friday with a graphic under eye liner. I'm really proud of it. I just wish I hadn't had to take it off. I was filming that night in very heavy rain so I had to. Mergh. Still it was easy enough to do. God bless blacktrack from MAC.

Saturday was all about the blue 60s liner. Again I used a fluidline for this. It was Waveline from MAC.

I get asked constantly about gel vs liner. I generally prefer gel. It's so much easier for me to use. Liquid takes longer to use and I think its not as precise as gel. The gel just glides on - but take care to use a good brush to get the finished effect. A terrible unsharp brush will leave feathery lines and smudges. I normally use the 266 or the 263 from MAC to get clean lines.

There are plenty of liner alternatives in the world but so far I prefer MAC or Bobbi Brown for gel, Rimmel London do a great dip liner (liquid with a traditional inkwell shape to the bottle) which wont break the bank. However, you can't beat MAC for blacktrack.

I used to have one that was a wet look liner and I'd kill to find something that was slightly wet look or black metallic.
