The rest of the Topshop Spring Summer campaign hit today, I wish I could get excited about them. But given that I am in a shit mood. I just can't. Urgh, good clothes, bad mood. Sucks to be me right now.
There is a lot of white. Given that catwalks for this season are demonstrating a severe lack of black, I am not surprised Topshop have delivered. I however will be sticking with my trusty black. Thank you. Black does all seasons, white in winter looks odd.
There is a lot of this trailing hems and floaty bits business throughout the collection. Tie dye making an appearance. Although I like this dress as an alternative to the usual summer dress splattered with florals. It's light and pretty. However, I think it would have been better with ankle boots and not fecking clogs and ankle socks. Big clumpy boots would have been perfect.
Check out the 90's footwear on this one!
The one piece of the collection with a 60's vintage vibe - and one I can see going straight to the sale bins in Ireland. Because there is very little market for red PVC coats. I have no idea how you even begin to make that work.
This I love. Down to the skinny jeans and amazing sandals - which remind me of Burberry sandals from the year before last. I am presuming it's a dress with a corset top layered over the top. I am on the hunt for the perfect corset top to layer over a white shirt at the moment, but so far the search has come up empty.
There is also a very strong 70's feel to the collection. Inspired no doubt by designers such as Marc Jacobs who was ALL OVER the 70's summery vibe in his collection this season. These flares are a tricky length though. Too short for short people and too awkward for the tall. Loving those dirty high heels though....
More white and more trail-ey stuff. I do like this. Awful whiff of fashion blogger off it. I need to have a closer look at those heels though.
This is like aging 70's rock star on acid. I am loving those tight skinny jeans. But its a bit too multi patterned for me I think. I'm not normally one for a pattern. I prefer a good old block color. Easier to match that way. Not to mention the boho style top, I hate boho.
But I am a fan of these rope looking sandal things, very Burberry as I said before - which isn't a bad thing. I wouldn't have thought of throwing them over tie dye leggings, kinda works in an odd way. I used to be a visual merchandiser for Topshop, so I can only imagine how well they train their stylists to product images like this, training I got was intense!
am totally a fan of floor length fringing....works on every level.
