lick - noun - the smallest amount, used in a negative way
This is a common word where I live. Most usually it is used in the above referenced definition. As in: He ain't worth a lick. That don't make a lick of sense, or, He ain't hit a lick all day.
Currently, I fall into this negative reference. As in: I ain't worth a lick.
A bit of jet lag has set in and a regular work schedule/softball game schedule is making for busy times.
Pressing on, I am. The work is getting done and all is well.
